Apollo Names Former Nike Executive Jaycee Pribulsky as New Chief Sustainability Officer

Global alternative investment giant Apollo has appointed Jaycee Pribulsky, former Chief Sustainability Officer at Nike, as its new Partner and Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO), signaling a renewed focus on embedding sustainability into the firm’s investment and operational strategies.

A Strategic Hire to Strengthen ESG Integration

In her new role, Pribulsky will oversee Apollo’s global sustainability agenda, guiding efforts to integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles across all asset classes. Her mandate includes identifying material risks and opportunities tied to sustainability, enhancing operational efficiency, supporting innovation, and ensuring that Apollo’s portfolio companies are positioned for long-term, resilient growth. Apollo said the appointment reflects its commitment to using sustainability as a driver of performance and value creation, rather than as a standalone compliance function.

“Apollo is known for its scale, capabilities and focus on delivering performance and resilience for clients and portfolio companies,” Pribulsky said. “I am excited to build on that foundation, working closely with colleagues and partners, using Apollo’s sustainability strategy as a practical tool for long-term value creation.”

From Nike to Apollo: A Cross-Sector Sustainability Leader

Pribulsky brings a decade of high-level experience linking sustainability to core business performance. She spent over eight years at Nike, where she most recently served as Chief Sustainability Officer, leading the sportswear giant’s environmental strategy and sustainable sourcing initiatives. At Nike, she played a key role in advancing circular manufacturing, supply chain transparency, and carbon reduction goals helping the company align its operations with global climate standards. Prior to that, she served as Vice President of Global Footwear Sourcing & Manufacturing and Vice President of Sustainable Manufacturing & Sourcing, overseeing large-scale supplier transformation programs. Before joining Nike, Pribulsky was Head of Communications and Outreach for the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) at Bloomberg, where she helped advance global adoption of climate risk reporting standards that now underpin much of corporate ESG disclosure.

Transition and Leadership Continuity

Pribulsky succeeds Dave Stangis, who has led Apollo’s sustainability strategy since 2021 and was the firm’s inaugural Chief Sustainability Officer. Stangis will transition into a senior advisory role in 2026, supporting Apollo’s leadership team and ongoing ESG initiatives. Scott Kleinman, Co-President of Apollo Asset Management, praised both executives’ contributions to the firm’s evolving sustainability program.

“We thank Dave for his significant contributions to developing Apollo’s industry-leading sustainability program and look forward to his continued partnership in an advisory capacity,” Kleinman said. “Jaycee’s cross-sector experience and track record of building durable, business-aligned sustainability programs will continue to advance Apollo’s differentiated approach and competitive leadership.”

Positioning Apollo for a Low-Carbon Future

The appointment comes at a time when global investment firms face rising scrutiny over climate risk disclosure and portfolio decarbonization. Apollo, which manages hundreds of billions of dollars in assets, has expanded its focus on sustainability-linked investments and operational transparency. By bringing in a leader with both corporate and policy experience, Apollo aims to further integrate ESG into investment decision-making, from private equity and credit to infrastructure and real estate. Pribulsky’s appointment also underscores the trend of top-tier asset managers recruiting executives from consumer and industrial sectors, reflecting a broader convergence of business sustainability and finance. As Apollo deepens its commitment to responsible investing, Pribulsky’s arrival is expected to reinforce the firm’s dual goals enhancing long-term portfolio resilience while capturing new opportunities in the global sustainability transition.
