Global assurance and risk management company LRQA has acquired Omega Compliance, a specialist in social compliance auditing, responsible sourcing and supply chain integrity. The acquisition expands LRQA's capabilities in supply chain transparency, traceability and regulatory compliance, particularly across China, South Asia, Southeast Asia and Turkey. The transaction is intended to help businesses manage growing scrutiny of labour practices, sourcing conditions and supply chain risks across international manufacturing networks.
Omega Compliance brings an established client base in retail and apparel, alongside recognised auditing credentials and experience in supply chain security. The company is a member of the Association of Professional Social Compliance Auditors (APSCA) and an approved Sedex Affiliate Audit Company. It also holds authorisation from U.S. Customs and Border Protection to conduct Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) validations, supporting its Supply Chain Assessment & Analysis (SCAN) programmes. Omega's heritage as part of the Connor Group, a merchandise sourcing organisation established in 1949, adds extensive regional experience to LRQA's operations.

The acquisition will combine Omega's on-the-ground auditing capabilities with LRQA's global assurance services, EiQ supply chain intelligence platform, cybersecurity expertise and AI-enabled risk management solutions. The integration is expected to improve clients' ability to assess supplier practices, identify compliance risks and strengthen sourcing transparency. Ian Spaulding, CEO of LRQA, said, "Omega brings deep expertise, strong local presence and a reputation for quality that complements LRQA’s, as well as our global scale and digital capabilities." The transaction forms part of LRQA's wider strategy to expand its geographic reach and provide more integrated supply chain risk management services.
Jon White, Managing Director of Omega Compliance, said, "Joining LRQA allows us to build on that foundation – combining our on-the-ground expertise with LRQA’s global reach and broader capabilities – while continuing to deliver the high standards our clients expect." Both organisations will now focus on integration activities while maintaining continuity for existing clients. The acquisition reflects growing demand for supply chain assurance as companies seek stronger oversight of responsible sourcing, labour conditions and compliance across complex international supplier networks. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
