Event Details

SIEW Summit 2026 will take place on 26 October 2026 at Level 5, Sands Grand Ballroom in Singapore. Organized by the Energy Market Authority, the summit forms part of Singapore International Energy Week 2026, which runs from 26 to 30 October 2026. Under the theme “Connecting Energy Systems, Powering Tomorrow,” the summit will convene global energy leaders, policymakers, investors, innovators, utilities, technology providers, and industry stakeholders to discuss how connected, resilient, and future-ready energy systems can support energy security, sustainability, and inclusive development.

Purpose and Objectives

The primary purpose of SIEW Summit 2026 is to explore how public and private leaders can collaborate to build the power systems of tomorrow. As electricity demand rises due to artificial intelligence, data centres, electric vehicles, cooling needs, and broader economic growth, the summit is designed to address the policies, technologies, finance models, and cross-border partnerships needed to strengthen regional grids and integrate diverse energy sources. Its objective is to turn energy transition ambition into action by supporting resilient infrastructure, cleaner generation, system connectivity, and long-term energy security.

Key Activities

SIEW Summit 2026 will include high-level panels, leadership discussions, expert insights, and policy-industry dialogue across key energy transition themes. Discussion areas include connecting the energy systems of tomorrow, energy security and the future of gas, technology for resilient energy systems, the grid of tomorrow, and financing tomorrow’s energy world. The programme will explore cross-border coordination, grid integration, natural gas and LNG, biomethane, hydrogen-ready fuels, AI and digital grids, advanced nuclear, carbon capture utilisation and storage, overland and submarine interconnections, risk mitigation tools, and sustainable finance frameworks.

Significance

SIEW Summit 2026 is significant because it focuses on one of Asia’s most urgent energy challenges: building connected, reliable, low-carbon power systems while demand continues to accelerate. Its Singapore location strengthens its relevance as a regional energy, finance, and infrastructure hub, particularly for ASEAN and Asia-Pacific energy cooperation. The summit’s focus on grids, gas, advanced technologies, cross-border interconnections, and innovative finance makes it highly relevant for governments, utilities, investors, clean technology providers, infrastructure developers, and energy-intensive sectors navigating the next phase of the energy transition.

Expected Outcomes

The event is expected to support stronger collaboration between policymakers, industry leaders, investors, and technology providers working to modernise energy systems across Asia and beyond. Participants are likely to leave with clearer insight into regional grid connectivity, energy security, emerging clean technologies, gas transition pathways, and financing models for large-scale energy infrastructure. Based on the official positioning, SIEW Summit 2026 is designed to help bridge ambition with action by advancing the partnerships, policies, and investment needed to power a secure, sustainable, and future-ready energy system.
