Africa’s Green Economy Summit 2027

About this event
Africa’s Green Economy Summit 2027 (AGES) is a four-day green economy investment and dealmaking summit taking place from 23 to 26 February 2027 at the Century City Conference Centre in Cape Town, South Africa. The event brings together investors, financiers, project developers, governments, corporates, technology companies, and sustainability leaders to connect global capital with investment-ready African projects across renewable energy, green transport, water, waste, sustainable agriculture, green buildings, the blue economy, and climate technology. The 2027 edition expects 700+ delegates, with 40+ investment-ready projects and a US$2 billion+ investment pipeline.
Purpose and Objectives
The primary purpose of AGES is to connect capital with scalable green economy opportunities across Africa. The 2027 theme is “Ready for the World: Financing and Delivering Africa’s Sustainable Future," with a stronger emphasis on execution, investment readiness, deal development, and moving projects from concept towards implementation.
Key Activities
The summit combines conference sessions with an investment marketplace, project pitches, investor roundtables, curated matchmaking, sector-focused discussions, and networking. The Green Village provides a dedicated space for projects, solution providers, investors, corporates, cities and other stakeholders to connect, while the programme also includes a Climate Finance & Natural Capital Forum and a Sustainable Mobility & Logistics Forum.

Significance
AGES is significant because it is structured around investment mobilisation rather than discussion alone. Its focus on curated projects, investor matchmaking, pitch stages and transaction-oriented engagement provides a platform for connecting African green economy opportunities with international and regional capital. The summit has previously facilitated project pitches and investor meetings, and the 2027 edition expands this marketplace approach.
Expected Outcomes
Participants can expect access to investment opportunities, project developers, technology providers, policymakers, and potential strategic partners. The summit is designed to support capital mobilisation, project development, commercial partnerships, investor engagement, and the scaling of sustainable solutions across African markets.
