GRASFI Asia Conference 2027

GRASFI Asia Conference 2027, Singapore Management University

About this event

GRASFI Asia Conference 2027 (Second Edition) is a three-day international sustainable finance research conference taking place from 18 to 20 January 2027 in Singapore. Hosted by the Singapore Green Finance Centre (SGFC) at Singapore Management University (SMU), the conference brings together researchers, finance practitioners, policymakers, and other stakeholders to advance research and knowledge on sustainable finance and investment across Asia.

Purpose and Objectives

The primary purpose of the conference is to strengthen research and dialogue around the quality and impact of sustainable finance and capital allocation decisions in Asia. It provides a platform for researchers and practitioners to exchange evidence, develop new perspectives, and examine how sustainable finance can support the region's economic and environmental transition.

Key Activities

The programme combines research presentations, plenary sessions, networking, conference dinners, and an awards and closing session. The academic programme runs across 19 and 20 January, with multiple parallel research presentation tracks and plenary discussions. A networking dinner is scheduled for the evening of 18 January.

You’ll explore

  • Sustainable finance and investment research
  • Capital allocation and real-economy impact
  • Climate adaptation and resilience finance
  • Nature and biodiversity finance
  • ESG, corporate sustainability and financial markets
  • Transition finance and sustainable investment strategies

Significance

The conference is significant because it provides a dedicated Asian platform for evidence-based research on sustainable finance and investment. Its connection between academic research, financial practitioners, and policymakers supports the development of regionally relevant knowledge rather than relying solely on approaches developed in other markets.

Expected Outcomes

Participants can expect exposure to new sustainable finance research, emerging evidence on investment and capital allocation, and opportunities to connect with researchers, practitioners, and policymakers. The conference is intended to support research collaboration, knowledge exchange, policy dialogue, and stronger links between academic findings and sustainable finance practice in Asia.
