Our holistic ABC methodology goes beyond carbon to assess the true value of nature. Every Square you protect with Native sequesters carbon, protects biodiversity and supports indigenous communities, all tracked via your dashboard. Carbon markets are beset by a range of problems from design to execution, both real and perceived, resulting in exploitation and marginalisation of indigenous guardians, excessively high barriers to entry, a lack of transparency, undervaluing nature, poor conservation outcomes and reputational headaches for companies. In turn this slows demand and chokes funding to the world’s most precious and biodiverse ecosystems. Native solves these issues by tying your impact to real, tangible, precious places that can be seen on a map. Native helps businesses boost employee engagement, appeal to climate-conscious consumers, and align with investor priorities. Our first project is a holistic, community-driven initiative to protect 60,000 hectares of pristine rainforest in the Pacific Region with an imminent risk of logging, a high density of endemic species, and indigenous guardians who have stewarded the forest for generations. These communities will benefit from 90% of the revenue from the project in line with the UN SDGs including improved healthcare and education outcomes.
