Logitech has launched Chain Reaction, a global supply chain decarbonization program involving 17 key manufacturing suppliers, as part of its strategy to reduce Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2030. Announced on 23 October 2026, the initiative aims to help suppliers adopt renewable electricity, improve factory energy efficiency, and develop practical emissions-reduction plans. The program builds on Logitech's reported 33% reduction in absolute Scope 3 emissions during fiscal year 2026 compared with its 2021 baseline.
The initiative focuses on four areas: affordable renewable energy procurement, factory energy and greenhouse gas assessments, technical guidance and commercial recognition. Logitech will bring suppliers together to aggregate purchasing demand for renewable electricity instruments, potentially improving access to competitive pricing. Participating manufacturers will also receive support to identify energy inefficiencies in thermal, mechanical and production systems, establish emissions baselines and develop decarbonization roadmaps.

Through technical workshops, expert guidance and collaborative reporting tools, Logitech aims to help suppliers improve carbon accounting and implement operational changes. The program will also incorporate carbon transparency and decarbonization performance into regular supplier business reviews and decisions about new business awards. Elaine Laird, Chief People and Sustainability Officer at Logitech, said, "Real value-chain decarbonization happens directly on the factory floor." Suppliers will also have opportunities to explore new technologies through the company's Future Positive Challenge initiative.
Sree Chenincherry, Chief Supply Chain Operations Officer at Logitech, said, "From an operational standpoint, decarbonization and efficiency go hand-in-hand." By combining technical assistance with commercial incentives, Logitech aims to encourage suppliers to reduce energy waste and transition towards cleaner electricity sources. Although the company has already reported progress against its Scope 3 targetitam has not yet disclosed separate emissions reductions achieved by its initial supplier coho under the newly launched Chain Reaction programrt.
