Chinese energy storage manufacturer HiTHIUM has surpassed 200GWh in cumulative battery shipments, marking a major expansion in its global energy storage business. The company announced the milestone on 15 October 2026 at its Chongqing manufacturing facility, just over a year after exceeding 100GWh in cumulative shipments in August 2025. HiTHIUM said the growth reflects increasing demand for its battery storage systems and expanding capabilities in large-scale manufacturing, supply-chain integration and international project delivery.
Since beginning shipments in late 2021, HiTHIUM has expanded its position in the global energy storage market. According to the company, its industry ranking improved from fifth in 2023 to third in 2024, reaching second globally in 2025 and the first half of 2026. Its Chongqing manufacturing base plays a central role in scaling production and coordinating suppliers, while its Xiamen headquarters and international operations support technology development, manufacturing and delivery across different markets.

The company is placing greater emphasis on long-duration energy storage (LDES), which can help electricity systems manage fluctuations in renewable generation and meet demand over extended periods. HiTHIUM plans to accelerate the global deployment of its integrated kilampere-hour-class battery storage solution and expand its offerings from battery cells to grid-connected energy storage systems. The strategy aims to strengthen the company's position as electricity networks incorporate larger shares of renewable energy and require more flexible storage capacity.
Jason Wang, Co-founder and CEO of HiTHIUM, described the 200GWh milestone as a new stage in the company's development. He emphasised that growth was increasingly about "scaling end-to-end capabilities" rather than shipment volumes alone. HiTHIUM plans to continue investing in energy storage technology, smart manufacturing, supply-chain coordination and overseas delivery capabilities as it works towards its next 100GWh shipment milestone. The announcement did not provide a timeline for reaching 300GWh or disclose how much of its cumulative shipment volume came from long-duration storage products.
