EcoVadis, a global sustainability ratings provider, has partnered with AI-powered procurement platform Vertice to integrate supplier environmental, social and governance (ESG) ratings directly into corporate purchasing decisions. Announced on 27 October 2026, the agreement makes Vertice EcoVadis' first AI procurement orchestration partner. The integration will allow procurement teams to assess supplier sustainability performance alongside pricing, contract terms, peer benchmarks and commercial risks within a single platform, supporting more informed purchasing decisions and responsible sourcing practices.
Through the partnership, EcoVadis will bring sustainability intelligence covering more than 175,000 rated companies into Vertice's procurement workflows. Its assessments cover environmental performance, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. Vertice contributes a procurement intelligence dataset covering more than 250,000 negotiated contracts, over $75 billion in global indirect spending and more than two million pricing data points across 32,000 software vendors. Combining these datasets is intended to help companies evaluate suppliers against both financial and sustainability criteria without relying on separate assessment processes.

Annette Gevaert, Senior Vice President of Alliances and Partnerships at EcoVadis, said, "A resilient supply chain relies on sustainable procurement." The integration is designed to make sustainability data available during purchasing decisions rather than treating ESG assessment as a separate compliance activity. Roy Tuvey, CEO and Founder of Vertice, said the partnership would help customers access more comprehensive supplier information through its AI procurement platform, supporting both sustainability objectives and cost management. The collaboration also follows EcoVadis' recognition among the top three ESG ratings providers for quality and usefulness in the ERM Sustainability Institute's 2026 Rate the Raters survey.
Capita, a London-listed business process outsourcing and professional services company, is among the existing customers of both platforms. The company uses Vertice for procurement orchestration and EcoVadis for supplier sustainability assessments. Suraj Naik, Group Procurement Director and Chief Procurement Officer at Capita, said the integration would allow sustainability considerations to be evaluated alongside cost, risk and commercial factors. The partnership demonstrates how ESG data can be incorporated into existing purchasing systems, potentially improving supplier screening, procurement transparency and sustainability-related risk management.
The announcement reflects growing demand for digital procurement solutions that combine commercial intelligence with environmental and social performance data. Vertice was recognised as a Leader in the 2026 IDC MarketScape for AI-enabled spend orchestration, while EcoVadis continues expanding the integration of its sustainability ratings into enterprise software. Although the partnership establishes a new route for incorporating ESG information into purchasing workflows, the companies have not disclosed financial terms, a complete deployment timetable or quantified sustainability improvements resulting from the integration.
