BNZ has selected Sitetracker to manage and scale its renewable energy portfolio across Spain, Italy and Portugal, as the independent power producer expands across multiple technologies and project stages. BNZ’s portfolio exceeds 2.7 GW across development, construction and operation, including 530 MW already connected and a further 222 MW under construction. The company will use Sitetracker as a central platform for project, asset and operational information across the full lifecycle of its renewable energy assets.
The implementation is designed to standardise workflows across development, construction and operations while giving BNZ greater visibility over project milestones, portfolio risks and operational performance. By bringing project information into a single system, BNZ aims to reduce manual processes and improve coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders as the size and complexity of the portfolio increases.

Sitetracker will also be integrated with BNZ’s wider technology environment, including Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Entra ID. The company said interoperability was an important part of the decision, as it wanted a platform that could support standard processes without operating separately from its existing corporate data systems. Sitetracker’s analytics and configuration capabilities are also expected to support executive reporting and more proactive project management.
The selection reflects a wider operational challenge for renewable energy developers as portfolios expand across countries, technologies and different stages of delivery. Managing hundreds of megawatts across development, construction and operating assets can create fragmented project data and inconsistent processes if information remains spread across separate systems. BNZ is using the platform to create a single source of truth for asset and project information as it continues to scale across Southern Europe.
Esther García, COO at BNZ, said the company wanted a platform that could support standardised processes across development, construction and operations while integrating with its broader technology ecosystem. Giuseppe Incitti, CEO of Sitetracker, said renewable energy companies will increasingly be defined by how efficiently they can scale, positioning BNZ’s investment in operational infrastructure as part of its longer-term growth strategy.
