POWERGEN 2027

POWERGEN 2027 is a four-day international power generation event taking place from 18 to 21 January 2027 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. The event brings together utilities, independent power producers, EPCs, OEMs, engineers, technology providers, consultants, and other power generation professionals to address rapidly rising electricity demand and the need to deliver new generation capacity. The 2027 edition projects 9,000+ power generation attendees and 540+ exhibitors, with a 2:1 buyer-to-seller ratio.

Purpose and Objectives

The primary purpose of POWERGEN 2027 is to connect the power generation industry around the development, operation, and maintenance of reliable generation capacity. The event focuses on how utilities and independent producers can respond to accelerating load growth, while helping EPCs, OEMs, and technology providers address supply-chain, permitting, workforce, reliability, and project-delivery challenges.

Key Activities

The event combines a large exhibition with technical conference sessions, keynote presentations, workshops, roundtables, networking, and specialised forums. The programme covers 40 topics, with content spanning gas turbines and combined cycle, data-centre power demand, nuclear, grid reliability, asset life and O&M, hydrogen, storage, CCS, and power-system development. HYDROVISION International is also being integrated into POWERGEN 2027, adding dedicated hydropower programming.
