Event Details

Enlit Europe 2026 will take place from 10 to 12 November 2026 in Vienna, Austria. The event is positioned as an inclusive guide to the energy transition, bringing together the full energy value chain from energy producers and grid operators to technology providers, utilities, policymakers, investors, innovators, and end users. With 15,000 attendees, 750 exhibitors, 600 speakers, 140 countries, and 160 side events, Enlit Europe 2026 is designed to connect industries, inspire action, and support Europe’s shift toward a dependable, decarbonised, and digitalised energy system.

Purpose and Objectives

The primary purpose of Enlit Europe 2026 is to create a business and knowledge platform for Europe’s energy transition. The event is designed to help stakeholders explore the technologies, policies, projects, and investment models needed to build a more resilient, low-carbon, and intelligent energy system. Its objective is to connect the people and organisations shaping energy generation, transmission, distribution, storage, digitalisation, regulation, and end-use transformation across Europe and beyond.

Key Activities

Enlit Europe 2026 will include an exhibition, summit sessions, hub sessions, side events, project showcases, country pavilions, topic zones, start-up and innovator features, EU-funded project engagement, networking, and business development opportunities. The event will cover a wide range of energy transition themes including cybersecurity, decarbonisation, decentralised energy, digitalisation, distributed generation, energy communities, energy storage, finance and investment, gas infrastructure, hydrogen, metering, policy and regulation, power generation, renewable energy, smart grids, transmission and distribution, eMobility, smart technologies, and grid management.

Significance

Enlit Europe 2026 is significant because it brings together the full European energy ecosystem at a time when the sector is working to improve resilience, accelerate decarbonisation, modernise grids, and digitalise energy systems. Its end-to-end format makes it relevant for utilities, grid operators, technology companies, project developers, policymakers, financiers, start-ups, researchers, and energy users looking to understand where the market is heading. The event’s focus on both business activity and system transformation strengthens its role as a major meeting point for Europe’s energy transition.

Expected Outcomes

The event is expected to support stronger collaboration across the energy value chain while helping participants identify new technologies, partnerships, projects, and investment opportunities. Attendees are likely to leave with clearer insight into Europe’s decarbonised and digitalised energy future, stronger industry connections, and practical understanding of developments in grids, storage, renewables, hydrogen, smart technologies, policy, and energy infrastructure. Based on the official positioning, Enlit Europe 2026 is designed to help turn energy transition ambition into business activity, innovation deployment, and system-wide progress.
