Event Details

CERAWeek 2027 is a five-day global energy conference taking place from 8 to 12 March 2027 in Houston, Texas, United States. Organised by S&P Global, CERAWeek brings together senior executives, government officials, investors, technology leaders, policymakers, and experts from across the energy sector. The event covers oil and gas, power and renewables, LNG, carbon management, hydrogen, critical minerals, digital technologies, finance, infrastructure, and energy policy. Recent editions have attracted more than 10,000 participants from 2,350+ companies across 89 countries, including over 1,620 C-suite executives and 84 ministers and senior government officials.

Purpose and Objectives

The primary purpose of CERAWeek is to provide senior energy and business leaders with a platform to examine the economic, geopolitical, technological, and policy forces shaping global energy markets. The conference is designed to support strategic decision-making around energy security, investment, infrastructure, emerging technologies, decarbonisation, and changing demand while enabling direct engagement between industry leaders, governments, financiers, and technology companies.

Key Activities

CERAWeek combines its Executive Conference with the Innovation Agora, professional development programmes, partner programmes, plenary sessions, executive dialogues, expert discussions, and networking. Programme areas span AI and digital technologies, climate and sustainability, electrification, investment and financing, low-carbon fuels, emissions management, minerals and mining, natural gas and LNG, oil, regulation, trade, supply chains, power, renewables, and grid development.

Significance

CERAWeek is significant because it brings together decision-makers from across the full energy system rather than focusing on one technology or market. Its combination of corporate leadership, government participation, finance, technology, and geopolitical analysis makes it an important forum for discussions that influence investment strategies and energy-sector priorities. The conference has grown from an executive gathering created by Cambridge Energy Research Associates into a five-day international energy event.

Expected Outcomes

Participants can expect stronger understanding of global energy-market developments, emerging technologies, investment priorities, policy changes, and geopolitical risks. The event is intended to support high-level business relationships, partnerships, capital allocation decisions, technology deployment, and strategic planning across conventional and low-carbon energy markets.
