I'm Daniel Dunai, a finance professional with experience across commodities trading, investment banking, private credit and project finance. My career has taken me across major financial markets, including London, Moscow, Beijing and Hamburg, where I have worked on credit structuring, financing solutions and commodity-linked transactions.
I have worked with organisations including Glencore, Securing Energy for Europe, BTG Pactual, Sberbank and Gemcorp. My experience includes carbon offset products and associated project finance, giving me a practical understanding of the financial and commercial considerations involved in environmental markets.
I have also worked in financial technology, supporting product management at BlockFi and helping startups connect decentralised finance with traditional financial markets.
What I cover at OneStop ESG
My areas of interest include carbon markets, sustainable finance, ESG investing, energy transition, climate technology and the financing of environmental projects.
At OneStop ESG, I contribute to coverage of corporate sustainability, financial markets, investment activity and emerging technologies. I'm particularly interested in how capital is being directed towards sustainability solutions, how environmental markets are developing and what new technologies mean for businesses and investors.
How I approach my work
My professional background influences how I examine sustainability developments. I look closely at the commercial and financial aspects of a company or solution, including its business model, financing requirements, market opportunities and the evidence supporting its claims.
When researching articles and guides, I aim to draw on company disclosures, regulatory information, technical documentation and credible independent sources. I focus on explaining what developments mean in practice, identifying relevant limitations and helping readers understand the differences between available solutions.
My goal is to provide readers with useful, well-supported information about sustainability markets, climate technologies and the financial decisions shaping their development.
Every guide I write follows OneStop ESG's editorial research and verification process. I use relevant primary sources, provider documentation and independent evidence to assess material claims, explain differences between solutions and identify important limitations.
AI tools may assist with research and drafting, but their output is not treated as verified evidence. Material factual claims are checked against supporting sources before publication.
My work is subsequently reviewed by a subject-matter specialist, whose name and credentials appear alongside mine on the published guide. Any factual concerns identified during the review are addressed before publication.
