Overview

GreenFire Energy develops innovative Advanced Geothermal Systems (AGS) that accelerate the generation of clean, continuous, and reliable geothermal energy. Their AGS is closed-loop technology and is called GreenFire’s GreenLoop™ (GreenLoop). GreenLoop incorporates a down-bore heat exchanger (“DBHX”) within a closed-loop system. GreenLoop makes economic power generation feasible across the entire spectrum of geothermal resources, including resources with limited permeability and water that constrain conventional technology. All GreenLoop projects begin with proprietary thermodynamic modeling techniques that accurately estimate power potential and costs and are used to design GreenFire Energy technology application solutions for optimal performance. GreenLoop provides operators and developers the ability to retrofit existing wells, expand existing fields, and develop new geothermal resources quickly and economically. Applications include commercial power generation, direct-use projects, and industrial applications. Widely recognized for its innovative geothermal expertise, GreenFire Energy conducted the world’s first field-scale demonstration of closed-loop geothermal technology and has been granted more international patents and has published more technical papers for closed-loop geothermal technology than any other AGS company.
