Advancing from Compliance to ESG Intelligence
Zeroe has entered into a strategic partnership with Emirates District Cooling Company to deploy an integrated ESG data intelligence system across Emicool’s facilities in the United Arab Emirates. The agreement reflects a transition in Emicool’s sustainability strategy from periodic reporting toward continuous, decision-oriented ESG management.
Emicool, a joint venture between Dubai Investments PJSC and an Actis-led consortium that includes the British Columbia Investment Management Corporation, provides district cooling services across major developments in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. By consolidating ESG data within a single governed platform, the company aims to enhance operational transparency, risk oversight, and regulatory alignment.
Centralising ESG Data Across Operations
The partnership will establish a unified system designed to capture, validate, and structure ESG information across Emicool’s operations and value chains. This shift seeks to move sustainability metrics closer to core management processes rather than isolating them within annual reporting cycles.
Over recent years, Emicool has developed internal ESG capabilities that include audited greenhouse gas inventories, formal governance frameworks, and disciplined data management procedures. The integration of Zeroe’s platform represents an expansion of these foundations, introducing greater analytical depth and year-round visibility into performance metrics.
By embedding ESG data into operational dashboards, the company intends to strengthen its ability to monitor environmental performance, manage compliance risk, and deliver disclosures aligned with investor and regulatory expectations in the UAE’s evolving sustainability landscape.

Treating Sustainability Data as a Strategic Asset
Zeroe’s platform addresses structural challenges commonly associated with sustainability reporting, where data is often fragmented across departments, manual systems, and disparate software tools. The system manages the full data lifecycle, from ingestion and transformation to validation, creating a structured and auditable dataset.
According to Emicool leadership, ESG has progressed from being a reporting obligation to becoming a core operating capability. Dr. Adib El Moubadder, Chief Executive Officer of Emicool, described the initiative as an extension of existing governance structures, positioning ESG information as an input to decision-making rather than an output of compliance processes.
Ezzeddine Jradi, Head of Sustainability and Business Excellence Officer at Emicool, emphasised the importance of data discipline and comparability. By ensuring ESG metrics are trusted and actionable, the company aims to support accountability and long-term value creation.
Supporting Regulatory and Investment Readiness
The deployment of a single-governed ESG intelligence system also prepares Emicool for increasingly stringent sustainability requirements and performance-linked financing mechanisms. As regional regulators and investors demand more transparent and standardised disclosures, structured data governance becomes a prerequisite for capital access and operational resilience.
Farouk Jivani, Chief Executive Officer of Zeroe, characterised Emicool’s approach as indicative of ESG maturity, noting that sustainability data is being managed with operational rigor comparable to financial reporting. The partnership establishes a scalable framework capable of adapting to evolving disclosure standards and sustainable finance criteria.

Embedding ESG Within Core Infrastructure Services
Established in 2003 and headquartered in Dubai Investments Park, Emicool delivers district cooling services across developments including Dubai Motor City, Dubai Sports City, Expo 2020 facilities, Jumeirah Bay, and projects in Abu Dhabi. District cooling infrastructure plays a significant role in urban energy efficiency within the Gulf region, where cooling demand represents a substantial share of electricity consumption.
By integrating ESG intelligence into its operational systems, Emicool seeks to reinforce its environmental performance while maintaining service reliability and efficiency. The collaboration with Zeroe signals a broader shift in how infrastructure operators in the region approach sustainability, transitioning from disclosure-driven models toward embedded governance and continuous data insight.
As sustainability reporting frameworks and investor scrutiny intensify, the partnership positions Emicool to respond with structured, decision-ready intelligence that supports long-term resilience and accountability.
