Tripura CM Saha Praises PM Modi’s Commitment to Indigenous Welfare

Tripura CM Manik Saha applauds PM Modi's dedication to indigenous welfare, calling for greater tribal participation in the BJP to ensure inclusive growth across the state.

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his unwavering efforts to uplift the indigenous population in the state and across the country. Speaking at a BJP event held in Takarjala, Sepahijala district, Saha highlighted the central government’s focused development agenda and underscored how the state government under the BJP is working hand in hand with Modi’s vision for inclusive growth.

The Chief Minister emphasized that PM Modi has consistently prioritized the welfare of indigenous and tribal communities, and that his government’s actions reflect that commitment. “He always thinks about the development of the indigenous people, and the state government is also working in that direction,” Saha remarked. He reiterated that the developmental approach is not just rhetoric but is being executed through concrete policies and grassroots initiatives across Tripura’s tribal belts.

Saha pointed to the government’s inclusive approach, asserting that development schemes are being implemented to ensure no one is left behind, especially those in remote and tribal areas. This includes initiatives around housing, healthcare, education, and skill development. From improving infrastructure in rural areas to increasing access to government schemes, the BJP government, both at the Centre and the state, is aligning its efforts to improve the quality of life for indigenous communities.

A major highlight of the event was the induction of 140 new BJP members, representing 50 families who had previously supported opposition parties including the Congress and the CPI-M. “I welcome them on behalf of the BJP,” said Saha, stressing that the party is expanding because people from all backgrounds are resonating with the government’s pro-development agenda.

He also delivered a message to the tribal communities, encouraging them to align with the BJP's goals. “If indigenous people join the BJP, the country and the state would be stronger,” he stated, adding that this political participation would not only strengthen the community’s voice but also accelerate state-wide development.

Saha further clarified that the BJP government in Tripura is not merely for BJP voters but for every citizen of the state. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to its foundational slogan, “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayaas,” reflecting its pledge to work for collective progress through inclusive governance.

The conference also served as a platform for party members and local leaders to engage in discussions on key policy matters and community outreach. According to Saha, such forums help strengthen the party’s connection with grassroots workers and enhance the government’s ability to implement effective solutions tailored to local needs.

As Tripura continues to see increasing political engagement among indigenous populations, the BJP’s outreach appears to be strategically focused on ensuring that tribal communities are not only beneficiaries of development but also active participants in shaping the state’s future.
