Schneider Electric Unveils Global Advisory Arm to Accelerate Energy, Sustainability, and Technology Transformation

Schneider Electric Unveils Global Advisory Arm to Accelerate Energy, Sustainability, and Technology Transformation

Global energy and automation leader Schneider Electric has launched SE Advisory Services, a comprehensive consulting practice designed to help organizations navigate the growing intersection of energy management, sustainability, and digital transformation. The new division will combine the company’s deep technical expertise with its software capabilities to offer end-to-end advisory and execution solutions for industries under pressure to decarbonize and modernize.

Integrated Strategy for a Complex Energy Era

The establishment of SE Advisory Services comes at a pivotal time. Worldwide, companies are grappling with rising energy demand, volatile markets, and increasingly intricate supply chains, all while facing urgent mandates to cut emissions. Schneider Electric said the new unit will offer an integrated, cross-disciplinary model to help clients plan, implement, and scale sustainability and efficiency initiatives across their operations.

“Times of uncertainty require one thing above all clarity and control,” said Frédéric Godemel, Executive Vice President of Energy Management at Schneider Electric. “By unifying our world-class consulting capabilities under one banner, we enable clients to move faster, make smarter decisions, and unlock new value from electrification, automation, and digitalization.”

Four Pillars of SE Advisory Services

The consulting practice will address sustainability transformation and operational resilience through four key domains:

  1. Sustainable Business & Industrial Transformation – guiding transition strategies in digitalization, electrification, renewable integration, decarbonization, circular economy, and nature-based solutions.

  2. Risk Management & Resilience – helping clients counter energy price volatility, cybersecurity threats, and climate risk through proactive system design and strategic risk modeling.

  3. Resource & Asset Performance – optimizing assets and resource use to boost reliability, reduce waste, and redirect capital toward growth and innovation.

  4. Intelligent Software – deploying AI-native tools and integrated platforms to connect siloed workflows, turning real-time data into actionable insights for decision-makers.

Unlike traditional advisory models, SE Advisory Services will extend its reach beyond strategic consulting to software delivery and project execution, ensuring continuity from planning to measurable outcomes.

“Energy, technology, and software are now inseparable drivers of industrial progress,” said Gwenaelle Avice Huet, EVP of Industrial Automation at Schneider Electric. “Our consulting model helps clients identify the levers of transformation accelerating automation, embedding digital resilience, and building long-term value through smart electrification.”

Leadership and Vision

The new practice will be headed by Steve Wilhite, Executive Vice President of SE Advisory Services. Wilhite, who joined Schneider Electric through its 2011 acquisition of Summit Energy, brings over two decades of experience in sustainability strategy and corporate energy management. Most recently, he led Schneider Electric’s Sustainability Business Division, guiding Fortune 500 clients in renewable procurement and decarbonization programs.

“We are bringing together thousands of consultants and technical specialists worldwide,” Wilhite said in a statement. “Our AI-driven advisory model integrates data, technology, and execution to strengthen business performance, mitigate risk, and build operational resilience.”

Shaping the Future of Sustainable Industry

The launch of SE Advisory Services reinforces Schneider Electric’s vision that energy transition, digital innovation, and sustainability are now inseparable components of industrial success. The company sees this new practice as a bridge between strategy and implementation, capable of helping clients meet increasingly stringent reporting standards, achieve net-zero goals, and future-proof operations in an unpredictable global market. As industries move toward more electrified, automated, and data-intelligent systems, Schneider Electric’s expanded consulting offering signals a shift from product-centric support to a holistic partnership model—one designed to help clients adapt faster, operate smarter, and lead the next era of sustainable transformation.
