Reworld Acquires Three Long Island Waste and Environmental Companies

Reworld has acquired Clean & Green Recycling Corporation, ClearFlo Technologies and EnviroTec, three environmental solutions companies based in Lindenhurst, New York, combining them into a new Lindenhurst Material Processing Facility. The facility is strategically located near four existing Reworld Thermomechanical Treatment Facilities, intended to expand the company's waste processing, transportation and resource recovery capabilities on Long Island. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

 

The new facility is positioned to complement Reworld's existing service lines, including ReDrop for wastewater treatment, ReDirect360 for zero waste-to-landfill services, and ReMove for waste logistics, while supporting continued growth in resource recovery, recycling and reuse. Reworld EVP of Business Development and M&A Brendan Ferretti said combining the acquired companies' expertise with Reworld's existing network scale creates "a more integrated experience for customers in the region," enabling "a more holistic approach on Long Island, from collection through processing and resource recovery."

Steve Macchio, president of the three acquired companies, said the businesses had "spent forty years building trust as a safe, reliable and cost-effective resource for businesses looking to sustainably manage their waste," and that combining the companies would allow continued service to existing customers "now supported by additional resources and capabilities." The acquisition extends Reworld's long-standing presence on Long Island and its existing relationships with municipalities and businesses across the region.
