Normative, a leading carbon accounting software provider, has announced the appointment of Sebastien Blanc as its new CEO. Blanc succeeds Kristian Rönn, who co-founded Normative in 2014 and has led the company for nearly 11 years.
In a social media post, Rönn reflected on his tenure, stating, “Normative has been my ‘baby’ for almost 11 years. Watching it grow from a simple idea into a company that can truly stand on its own has been the privilege of a lifetime.” He added that Normative has proven it is possible to make carbon emissions visible and actionable, and expressed pride in the company’s accomplishments.
Blanc, who has over 20 years of experience in the tech industry, brings expertise from his leadership roles, including as CEO of Skimlinks and Lengow. Speaking about his new role, Blanc said, “I’m thrilled to join Normative at this exciting stage of growth. I believe that climate is the most important problem of our time. My goal is to spend all my energy helping to build a company that will endure in the long run, building the most compelling products and customer experience so that, ultimately, we build the data we need to make a dent in the climate challenge we all face.”
Normative’s platform enables businesses to track their carbon emissions by mapping their activities, helping them take actionable steps toward sustainability.
