Madhya Pradesh Unveils Logistics Policy-2025 to Drive Investment and Trade

Madhya Pradesh has launched the Logistics Policy-2025 to transform the state into a logistics hub, reduce costs, and attract investment. Key initiatives include cargo terminals, green industrialization, and export incentives.

Madhya Pradesh’s Logistics Policy-2025 to Boost Trade and Investment

Madhya Pradesh is accelerating economic growth with the launch of the Madhya Pradesh Logistics Policy-2025, unveiled by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav ahead of the Global Investors Summit (GIS) in Bhopal on February 24-25. The policy is designed to enhance supply chain efficiency, lower logistics costs, and attract investment by developing world-class infrastructure.

Building a Global-Standard Logistics Hub

The policy aims to position Madhya Pradesh as a logistics hub by 2030, aligning with global best practices. Key measures include:

  • Reducing port turnaround times and streamlining logistics processes.
  • Implementing RFID doors and the Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP) for better efficiency and security.
  • Introducing PCS-One for e-delivery orders, which will speed up cargo movement and improve transparency.
  • Establishing dedicated FSSAI labs to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.

Infrastructure and Green Industrialization

The government plans to establish over 20 cargo terminals with state-of-the-art facilities to boost international trade. Additionally, the policy supports green industrialization through:

  • Zero-liquid discharge waste management and centralized waste processing incentives.
  • The Green Card Scheme, which provides fast-track approvals for businesses adopting sustainable transportation practices.

Export Growth and Investment Incentives

The policy prioritizes export expansion through the development of export parks, offering:

  • 100% reimbursement on stamp duty and registration fees.
  • Financial assistance of up to ₹40 crore ($4.8 million) for infrastructure.
  • Up to ₹25 crore ($3 million) or 25% funding support for pre-processing facilities.

It also aims to:

  • Promote ‘Made in Madhya Pradesh’ exports.
  • Generate employment in logistics, warehousing, and transportation.
  • Reduce transportation costs for farmers, traders, and entrepreneurs.

A Holistic Approach to Economic Growth

The Logistics Policy-2025 is part of Madhya Pradesh’s broader economic strategy, complementing the Madhya Pradesh Industry Promotion Policy and the Madhya Pradesh Export Promotion Policy 2025. These initiatives target the creation of 2 million jobs over the next five years.

To support businesses, the government has introduced a single-window clearance system, eliminating delays and fast-tracking industrial approvals. With incentives for agriculture, textiles, aerospace, pharmaceuticals, EV manufacturing, and renewable energy, Madhya Pradesh is positioning itself as a leading global investment destination.
