Hikvision has received the inaugural Global Enterprise ESG Leader Award from the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), recognizing the company’s environmental, social and governance initiatives and its sustainability contributions in the Middle East.
The award forms part of the newly launched Pioneers of Sustainability Awards program created by DMCC to recognize member companies demonstrating measurable ESG progress aligned with both UAE sustainability priorities and global standards.
DMCC, which hosts more than 26,000 companies, has been ranked the world’s top free zone by the Financial Times’ fDi Intelligence.
AIoT Innovation And Environmental Strategy
Hikvision’s sustainability strategy focuses on integrating environmental considerations across its technology and manufacturing operations. The company places particular emphasis on improving energy efficiency and reducing emissions across the product lifecycle.
One example cited by DMCC was the company’s WonderHub interactive display, which in 2025 became the first large-format display to achieve TCO Certified Generation 10 status, a global sustainability certification covering energy efficiency, materials and lifecycle environmental impact.
According to DMCC, Hikvision’s development of AIoT solutions that combine artificial intelligence and Internet of Things technologies plays a role in supporting more efficient digital infrastructure.

Technology For Social Impact
The award also highlighted Hikvision’s social initiatives under its “Tech for Good” strategy. Through its STAR Program for Social Good, the company works with nonprofit organizations to use technology for environmental conservation and cultural heritage protection.
The initiative has partnered with more than 30 nonprofit organisations across 14 countries and regions.
At the regional level, Hikvision has also implemented community programs in the Middle East, including a Ramadan campaign in Dubai supporting frontline workers with food and essential supplies.
Governance And Compliance Standards
Governance and transparency formed the third pillar of the award evaluation. Hikvision said it has embedded international compliance standards into its operations across research, manufacturing, sales and supply chains.
The company also received ISO 37301 certification in 2025 for its compliance management system, covering governance practices related to cybersecurity, data protection and corporate ethics.
DMCC Associate Director for Corporate Sustainability Evgeny Garanin said the award recognizes Hikvision’s efforts to integrate sustainability into its business strategy while creating social and environmental value.

Expanding Global ESG Commitments
The recognition also reflects Hikvision’s broader participation in global sustainability initiatives. The company joined the United Nations Global Compact in 2024 and has committed to aligning its operations with the organization’s Ten Principles covering human rights, labour standards, environmental protection and anti-corruption.
Hikvision said it will continue integrating sustainability considerations into its technology development and business operations as part of its long-term ESG strategy.
