Paris-based climate data company Greenly has launched EcoPilot, an advanced AI and language model–driven platform designed to automate and simplify carbon accounting for organizations of all sizes. The new system aims to transform traditional emissions reporting into what Greenly calls “carbon intelligence”, a proactive, data-driven approach to managing and reducing corporate emissions.
Automating the Next Generation of Carbon Management
Greenly’s new EcoPilot platform leverages artificial intelligence to handle some of the most complex aspects of sustainability reporting from data collection and classification to emissions factor assignment and verification. According to the company, the platform automatically imports physical inventory, accounting, and logistics data, and then processes it through proprietary algorithms that structure and analyze information with high precision. This automation eliminates the need for manual data entry, historically one of the most resource-intensive elements of carbon accounting. By intelligently cross-referencing datasets, EcoPilot can assign emissions factors to each activity and identify anomalies or data gaps, ensuring a more accurate, audit-ready emissions inventory. In addition to automating Scope 1 and 2 calculations, EcoPilot introduces an innovative module for Scope 3 emissions modeling allowing users to estimate upstream and downstream impacts based on supplier commitments and value chain behavior. The platform’s ‘What If’ simulation tool enables real-time visualization of multiple decarbonization scenarios, giving companies the ability to forecast the results of different sustainability strategies.
From Carbon Accounting to Carbon Intelligence
Greenly describes EcoPilot as more than a compliance tool, it’s a system for strategic climate decision-making. Through the integration of AI-assisted interpretation and benchmarking, the platform helps businesses understand their performance relative to sector peers, while providing context for key ESG indicators such as energy intensity, circularity, and supplier risk.
“EcoPilot marks the shift from carbon accounting to carbon intelligence,” said Alexis Normand, CEO and Co-founder of Greenly. “The company’s context is fully analyzed, and the platform helps adapt data collection and climate strategy accordingly. By removing barriers to entry, EcoPilot empowers all users to find and implement intelligent solutions to combat climate change effectively.”
The system also integrates guidance on best practices and regulatory pathways, enabling sustainability teams to align business strategies with upcoming environmental disclosure requirements.

Compliance Across Major Reporting Standards
One of EcoPilot’s most significant features is its built-in compliance with multiple international sustainability frameworks, including:
-
EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)
-
Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for Micro-enterprises and SMEs (VSME)
-
Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)
-
IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards (S1 and S2)
By generating fully formatted and compliant reports, EcoPilot reduces the administrative burden of preparing submissions and ensures consistency across frameworks, a critical advantage as regulatory complexity increases across global markets.
Sustainable AI Infrastructure and Energy Efficiency
In keeping with Greenly’s own sustainability ethos, the EcoPilot platform is hosted on Google Cloud’s Paris data center, which operates primarily on renewable electricity. The company also emphasized that the system uses localized language models deployed on Greenly’s own servers, minimizing data transfers and cutting the energy intensity associated with cloud-based AI processing. This approach reflects a growing trend toward low-carbon AI architectures, ensuring that the technology designed to manage emissions doesn’t become a major source of them.
