ESG Playbook has launched two new sustainability reporting product tiers, Essential Worksheets and Premium Modules, aimed at small and mid-sized businesses beginning to report on sustainability. The company said the launch responds to growing pressure on smaller organisations from investors, lenders, insurers and customers to provide sustainability data, even where formal regulatory requirements do not yet apply. Both tiers share the same underlying data architecture as the company's existing Enterprise Platform, allowing businesses to start with basic tools and expand as their reporting needs grow.
The Essential Worksheets tier consists of seven Excel-based reporting tools aligned with established sustainability frameworks. Initial offerings cover carbon accounting, climate scenario analysis, transition planning, double materiality assessment, reporting aligned with the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures, reporting for the EU's Voluntary Standard for small and medium-sized enterprises, and sustainability goal and gap assessments. The company said further worksheets aligned with the Global Reporting Initiative and IFRS/ISSB standards are planned for future release.

The Premium Modules tier offers cloud-based applications with AI-assisted guidance, consistency checking and project management functionality, corresponding directly to the Essential Worksheets equivalents. ESG Playbook said this design allows organisations to move from the worksheet tier to the premium tier without re-entering existing data, intended to smooth the transition as a company's reporting requirements become more complex.
