EcoVadis Opens Peer Network to All Procurement Organizations

EcoVadis has expanded its peer-to-peer Community platform beyond companies that have completed an EcoVadis sustainability assessment, opening it to all procurement organizations and sustainability practitioners regardless of whether they are existing EcoVadis customers. The platform lets procurement leaders and sustainability practitioners share advice and collaborate on supply chain challenges through discussion forums and a resource library.

According to EcoVadis, the Community has seen 20 percent monthly growth globally since its initial launch, generating more than 800 in-depth peer discussions with an 86 percent question resolution rate. The most active forums cover general networking, product discussion and sustainability topics, with participation concentrated in the United Kingdom, United States, western Europe, India and Brazil, and drawing members from sectors including chemicals, plastics and materials, manufacturing and heavy machinery, logistics and transportation, and wholesale, retail, food and beverage.

The expanded platform is built around two functions: providing toolkits and community-tested advice for buyers and suppliers navigating sustainability questionnaires and scattered information sources, and enabling peer benchmarking through search and recommendation tools that connect members facing similar supply chain challenges. Forums and webinars are open to all registered members, while EcoVadis-specific product advice remains limited to rated customers, and certain higher-engagement features such as a procurement co-lab and executive roundtables carry premium access requirements.

Pierre-François Thaler, cofounder and co-chief executive of EcoVadis, said sustainability efforts need to be built collaboratively rather than mandated top-down, framing the platform's wider access as reducing the isolation companies often experience when navigating sustainability practices independently. Existing EcoVadis customers can access the community through their existing account dashboard, while new participants can register directly through the platform's website.
