France-based testing, inspection, and certification provider Bureau Veritas has announced the acquisition of ArcVera Renewables, a technical consultancy specializing in renewable energy. This move aims to strengthen Bureau Veritas' presence in the North American renewable energy sector.
ArcVera, founded by industry veterans Greg Poulos and John Bosche, is based in Golden, Colorado, and offers finance-grade technical and commercial services for wind, solar, and battery storage projects. The firm’s team of atmospheric scientists, engineers, and data analysts supports clients in mitigating risks and optimizing asset performance through advanced site assessments and consulting services throughout the development and operational phases of large-scale renewable projects.
Greg Poulos, CEO of ArcVera Renewables, stated, "From the beginning, our mission has been to advance the clean energy transformation by providing reliable, valuable, and independent technical analysis for our clients' success. Joining Bureau Veritas is a leap forward in achieving this goal and is likewise transformational for the ArcVera team and its growing global renewable energy client-base."
This acquisition is part of Bureau Veritas' ongoing strategy, "LEAP | 28," which focuses on accelerating growth and enhancing performance. The deal will allow Bureau Veritas to enhance its support for landowners, developers, owners, and investors in delivering wind and solar farm projects, particularly in North America.
Hinda Gharbi, CEO of Bureau Veritas, commented, "Acquiring ArcVera Renewables aligns with our LEAP | 28 strategy to grow our services and reinforce our leadership in renewables and power generation. ArcVera has earned a reputation for excellence in due diligence and operational verification of renewable projects. Their expertise will enrich Bureau Veritas’ energy transition services. I extend a warm welcome to our new colleagues from ArcVera."
