Blueleaf Energy & Jakson Green invest $400M in a 1 GW solar project in Rajasthan to power 1.5M homes, cut 22M tonnes of CO2, and accelerate India’s clean energy transition with 5 GW by 2030.
Singapore-based renewable energy platform Blueleaf Energy and India’s leading sustainable solutions company Jakson Green have announced a strategic partnership to drive India's clean energy transition. The duo has committed $400 million to develop a 1 GW solar project in Rajasthan, comprising three solar farms with 25-year power purchase agreements (PPAs) signed with Indian power giants SECI, NHPC, and RUVNL.
Key Project Highlights:
- Scale: Development of over 5 GW of renewable energy by 2030.
- Impact: Power 1.5 million homes annually and cut 22 million tonnes of CO2 over 25 years—equivalent to removing 5 million cars from the roads.
- Completion Timeline: Projects slated for completion by 2026.
