Amazon Web Services (AWS) and GE Vernova have announced a strategic partnership to electrify data centers, enhance grid reliability, and support decarbonization efforts. The collaboration aims to integrate renewable energy sources and optimize power infrastructure across North America, Europe, and Asia.
A Dual-Purpose Partnership
Under the agreement, GE Vernova will provide AWS with electrification technologies, turnkey substation solutions, and project management services to ensure reliable and cost-effective energy for AWS’s growing data centers. Meanwhile, AWS will accelerate GE Vernova’s digital transformation through cloud migration, AI-powered solutions, and advanced computing capabilities.
“We believe that GE Vernova is well positioned through its broad portfolio of energy products and services to help AWS obtain reliable, cost-effective, and more sustainable electricity for its data centers,” said Pablo Koziner, Chief Commercial Officer of GE Vernova.
