Swedish fund manager Areim has successfully secured €450 million in additional funding for its Areim DC Fund, pushing its total capital to €900 million. The oversubscribed raise attracted strong interest from both Nordic and international institutional investors, broadening Areim’s investor base and reinforcing its position in the sustainable data center market.
Fueling Growth Amid Surging Digital Demand
The demand for sustainable data centers is accelerating as digitalization and AI drive exponential data growth. Areim’s latest funding round will fuel the expansion of EcoDataCenter, a key player in the Nordic data center industry.

Areim first invested in EcoDataCenter in 2018, recognizing its potential in the evolving digital infrastructure landscape. Since then, the fund manager has acquired full ownership of the company through the Areim DC Fund.
