Paris, March 21 – Apave Group, a global risk management and consulting provider, has announced the acquisition of Aktio, a leading French carbon accounting firm. The move reinforces Apave’s commitment to sustainability and decarbonization by integrating cutting-edge carbon measurement and management expertise into its service portfolio.

Aktio’s Role in Carbon Accounting and Climate Strategy
Founded in 2020, Paris-based Aktio provides greenhouse gas accounting and climate consulting services, helping companies:
- Measure their carbon footprint
- Set climate targets and define low-carbon pathways
- Implement decarbonization strategies
- Ensure regulatory compliance (including CSRD)
- Train and educate stakeholders on the low-carbon transition
Since its inception, Aktio has grown to 40 experts, climate consultants, and web developers, supporting 500 organizations in their decarbonization journey.
Accelerating the Low-Carbon Transition
Aktio’s co-founders, Laurent Barbezieux, Alex Huyn, and Thibault Faninger, emphasized the urgency of scaling climate solutions:
