Amazon has signed a power purchase agreement to buy 600 megawatts of carbon-free electricity from the Gennaker offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea, described as Germany's largest-ever PPA. The company has also signed four additional PPAs in Sweden, bringing its total carbon-free energy capacity in the country to nearly 1 gigawatt, equivalent to powering more than 350,000 Swedish households annually, and extending Amazon's total investment to nine utility-scale wind projects in Sweden.
