Aligned Climate Capital closes an $85M fund to scale proven clean energy solutions, doubling its previous fund size. Backed by major institutional investors, the fund aims to accelerate climate impact investments.
March 12, 2025 – Investment firm Aligned Climate Capital has successfully closed its second venture fund, Aligned Climate Fund 2 LP (ACF2), at $85 million, doubling the size of its first fund. The new capital will accelerate clean energy and decarbonization efforts by backing companies at the Seed through Series B stages.
Investing in Scalable Clean Energy Solutions
Aligned Climate Capital’s investment strategy focuses on financeable clean energy solutions across key sectors, including:
- Renewable energy
- Efficient and resilient infrastructure
- Electric transportation
- Sustainable land use
The firm’s goal is to scale companies rapidly, ensuring they reach profitability in the near term while actively supporting them with financing, partnerships, and commercialization strategies.
To date, ACF2 has invested in nine companies, including:
- BoxPower
- BrightNight
- CarbonQuest
- ChargerHelp!
- EVenergi
- NYLE Water Heating Systems
- Port Wind
- UtilityAPI
- A geothermal company yet to be announced
