We are looking for a Technology Manager, Sustainability position in our Industry division .


In this role, you will play a key role in the implementation, development and sales of industrial sustainability services. You will work in close collaboration with customers, the project organization and AFRY's various expert networks.


The core of the role is supporting customers in sustainability, especially in issues related to investment projects, production and products.


Your tasks include, among others:


  • Acting as an industry sustainability expert, including:
  • practical implementation of responsibility strategies
  • development and implementation of sustainability services in projects
  • monitoring responsibility legislation from the perspective of investment projects and incorporating any new requirements into services
  • Ensuring project responsibility in investment projects, including:
  • optimization of processes and solutions during the design phase together with process designers
  • emissions, energy and resource efficiency
  • circular economy and social responsibility
  • responsibility risks, responsibility in different project areas such as procurement
  • Supporting customers in responsibility themes and actively working in the customer interface
  • Sales support, offer preparation and service development


Qualifications


We expect from you:


  • A university degree in a technical field suitable for the position (e.g. environmental engineering, process engineering or sustainability)
  • Strong experience in responsibility in an industrial environment (senior level)
  • Understanding of responsibility strategies and especially their practical implementation
  • Knowledge of responsibility legislation and the ability to put requirements into practice (e.g. key EU directives)
  • Experience in calculating greenhouse gas scope 1, 2 & 3
  • Understanding of product sustainability requirements, certifications and carbon footprint/LCA calculations
  • Experience in managing responsibility risks
  • Experience with social responsibility themes in industry
  • Fluent in Finnish and English


In addition, we appreciate:


  • Experience in managing responsibility in projects (e.g. CO2 capture, PtX, SAF, energy)
  • Ability to combine technical design and responsibility requirements
  • Business acumen and interest in developing services
  • Experience in client work and an international project environment
