Job Description
Position summary
JLL’s Corporate Sustainability team is hiring a Sustainability Data Analyst to support greenhouse gas emissions quantification, data management and audit compliance. This execution-focused role maintains existing calculations while supporting the team’s transition of GHG calculation methodologies from Excel/Power Query to a code-based environment in Databricks, combining hands-on GHG quantification with Excel/Power Query, Python and SQL and data-pipeline experience.
Why this role matters
The role contributes to JLL’s expanding ESG reporting requirements and helps build scalable, automated data systems for corporate sustainability. - Maintain calculations and process data by updating Excel/Power Query calculation workbooks across reporting cycles, moving data through quantification workflows, and conducting quality assurance on emissions calculations and datasets.
- Perform GHG calculations across Scope 1, 2 and 3 categories, researching and applying GHG calculation methodologies as needed.
- Support the transition to code by evolving GHG methodologies from Excel/Power Query to Python and SQL in Databricks, building and maintaining data pipelines, and validating migrated calculations against legacy Excel outputs.
- Support operations and documentation by tracking data collection progress, coordinating internal workflows, supporting audit compliance, and managing workstream trackers.
- Improve data quality by collaborating on JLL client emissions data improvement (Scope 3 Category 11) and identifying and resolving data quality issues with internal stakeholders.
Team and stakeholders
The role sits on JLL’s Corporate Sustainability team, reporting to the Senior Director, Sustainability, and works across internal stakeholders and a lean, technically strong team, collaborating in a distributed environment.
