Position summary
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Sustainability Data Analyst to join its global account team in London on a permanent basis. Sitting within the Sustainability Compliance & Reporting team, this role supports clients with data-driven insights to improve environmental performance across their portfolios. It involves managing and interpreting large datasets from sustainability platforms, analysing utility bills, inputting data into those platforms, and providing reports with actionable recommendations to improve energy efficiency.

Key responsibilities
- Data analysis: Collect, clean, and analyse large datasets from sustainability platforms.
- Data quality: Review the quality of data provided and engage with data owners to close gaps and anomalies, identifying key areas of risk when evaluating data for quality and completeness.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with property managers, engineers, and sustainability consultants to ensure data accuracy.
- System input: Facilitate the input of data onto client reporting data management systems.
- Dashboards and KPIs: Develop dashboards and reports to track sustainability KPIs, including energy usage, carbon footprint, water consumption, and waste diversion.
- Trend identification: Identify trends and anomalies in building performance data.
- Reporting: Provide environmental and carbon emission reports at requested intervals.
- Assurance support: Collate evidence and document data management processes annually to support reporting and assurance.
- System liaison: Liaise with providers of data management systems on issues, updates, and user changes, and provide day-to-day support to data owners.
- Training: Provide training and support to stakeholders on sustainability data tools and processes as required.
Team and stakeholders
You will report to the Senior Sustainability Consultant who leads carbon management initiatives and be supported by the Operational Director. You will collaborate with internal teams and clients, including property managers, engineers, and sustainability consultants, as well as providers of data management systems.

Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in the delivery of sustainability, data-driven projects.
- Prior involvement in using and managing data management systems or platforms.
- Proven experience undertaking complex, data-driven calculations with a high degree of accuracy.
- Good understanding of the GHG Protocol and knowledge of carbon accounting principles and Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions calculations.
- Understanding of sustainability-related corporate reporting frameworks and standards.
- Understanding of utility bill formats and bill management systems.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- Experience with sustainability platforms (for example Envizi, Deepki, Gridium).
- Educated to degree level (minimum 2:1), ideally in a sustainability or data-related subject.
- Excellent written, Excel, and verbal communication skills, able to translate complex data into clear insights.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to translate technical data into business-relevant insights.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and client management capabilities, including experience preparing client presentations and executive summaries.
- Commercial awareness of real estate operations and sustainability drivers.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and to respond effectively and courteously to sensitive customer issues.
