Amazon's GPS team is seeking a leader to architect and lead its external engagement strategy at scale. This executive-facing role translates vision into influence through partnerships, policy, and storytelling, serving as the connective force across all four GPS pillars and designing integrated engagement strategies that amplify impact across suppliers, governments, industry alliances, and global stakeholders. The role blends strategy, diplomacy, and execution.

Key responsibilities
- Engagement strategy: Design and execute a global engagement strategy advancing responsible procurement priorities across Amazon's GPO, establishing governance, communication, and reporting frameworks for alignment, scalability, and measurable impact.
- Impact and recognition: Develop and drive an external impact and recognition strategy across all four GPS pillars, translating data into narratives, executive briefings, and stakeholder outputs.
- Partnerships: Build and manage strategic partnerships with governments, NGOs, corporate partners, academic institutions, and industry alliances that expand inclusive supplier ecosystems, strengthen human rights practices, and accelerate environmental goals.
- Policy liaison: Serve as a key liaison to Government Affairs and public sector stakeholders, influencing policy on economic inclusion, responsible sourcing, and sustainable procurement standards.
- Activations: Design and lead multi-stakeholder activations including supplier summits, policy roundtables, and industry forums, with clear impact measurement.
- Alignment: Drive cross-functional alignment across GPS pillars and internal teams for consistent messaging and integrated delivery.
Team and stakeholders
The role sits in the Strategic Engagement & Partnerships function within GPS/GPO, connecting the four pillars to a global ecosystem of suppliers, governments, NGOs, corporate partners, academic institutions, and industry alliances, and working with Government Affairs and internal teams.

- Locations and compensation: Available in Nashville, TN ($77,200 to $115,800), Houston, TX ($85,800 to $128,600), Arlington, VA ($85,800 to $128,600), and Bellevue, WA ($85,800 to $128,600), plus sign-on payments and RSUs.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of program or project management experience; 3+ years working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams; 3+ years defining and implementing process improvement using data and metrics.
- 2+ years of supply chain experience; bachelor's degree.
- Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) and SQL, and experience defining program requirements and using data to determine improvements.
- Preferred: 3+ years driving end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership, driving process improvements, and strong stakeholder management.
