Job Description
Position summary
The Strategic Transformation Projects Leader will lead the end-to-end definition, mobilization, and delivery of priority strategic initiatives across the Gulf Cluster, as well as shaping the cluster's response to the evolving new energy landscape. The role converts strategic priorities into executable programs, aligns global and local stakeholders, establishes viable business cases and operating models, and ensures disciplined delivery of measurable growth, customer, and capability outcomes.
Why this role matters
This role turns Schneider Electric's strategy into delivery across the Gulf's fast-evolving new energy ecosystem. By framing opportunities, building investment cases, and governing execution across electrification, e-mobility, distributed energy, grid modernization, and energy management, the leader drives measurable growth while positioning the cluster for the energy transition.
Key responsibilities
- Strategic initiatives leadership: Own the portfolio of cross-business strategic projects from opportunity framing and business case through execution and benefits realization, translating initiatives into charters, roadmaps, milestones, and measurable outcomes, and prioritizing based on strategic fit, customer value, financial impact, feasibility, and risk.
- End-to-end deployment: Lead initiative assessments covering market demand, product scope, industrial footprint, supply chain, sourcing, regulation, certifications, incentives, and partner options; develop business models (local assembly, local manufacturing, contract manufacturing, strategic partnerships); and create value cases quantifying revenue, margin, and investment.
- New energy and growth agenda: Monitor implications of policy, regulation, technology, and value-chain shifts; identify growth spaces across electrification, e-mobility infrastructure, distributed energy, grid modernization, and energy management; develop market perspectives and build/partner/acquire/incubate recommendations; and partner with sales and business teams to convert themes into qualified opportunities and lighthouse projects.
- Program delivery and governance: Establish program governance (steering committees, workstreams, stage gates, decision logs, risk registers, executive reporting), drive pace and accountability, maintain integrated plans across scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, quality, and benefits, and ensure effective transition into business-as-usual ownership.
Team and stakeholders
The role aligns global and local stakeholders and works across technical, industrial, commercial, sales, and business teams, steering committees, and the external new-energy ecosystem.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, economics, or related; MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification preferred.
- Typically up to 10 years of experience in strategy, business development, transformation, program leadership, industrial operations, energy management, electrification, or a related field.
- Proven experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder strategic projects with measurable business outcomes.
- Experience in Make in Emirates, industrial partnerships, supply-chain development, e-mobility, electrical distribution, energy management, or new energy ecosystems strongly preferred.
- Strong financial acumen (business-case development, scenario modeling, investment evaluation, benefits tracking) and good communication skills.
