Position summary
Capgemini Invent is hiring a Senior Manager, Green IT (sustainable technology consultant) into its Sustainable Futures team. The role helps clients reduce the planetary impact of their technology estate while improving their cost base, leading engagements to implement sustainable technology strategies and frameworks and championing the client value of sustainable IT across Capgemini.

Leading client engagements and building Capgemini's sustainable technology capability is what turns green-IT principles into measurable value for clients and advances the firm's wider sustainability ambitions.
Key responsibilities
- Lead client engagements by implementing sustainable technology strategies and frameworks and identifying broader opportunities to generate client value.
- Act as a subject expert by supporting business development and bids, triaging and actioning opportunities to deploy sustainable technology capabilities.
- Lead the community by bringing new ideas, approaches, and innovative start-ups to the team and championing sustainable technology across Capgemini.
- Train teams and leaders by building understanding of the value of sustainable IT and related ESG areas.
- Contribute to the business through proposition development, whitepapers, practice development, and personal learning.
Team and stakeholders
The role sits within Capgemini Invent's Sustainable Futures team, working with Capgemini Invent and wider Capgemini colleagues, account executives, leaders, and clients.
Key details
- Office base of London, Manchester, Glasgow, or Newcastle, with full flexibility on assignment location.
- Hybrid working with flexible arrangements available to all UK employees.
- Part of Capgemini Invent's dedicated sustainability team.
Requirements
- An educational background in Software Engineering, Computing Science, AI, or similar.
- Experience in Sustainable IT or Green technology and comfort with the principles.
- Experience running projects with a solid understanding of client-delivery commercials.
- A consulting background (in a major consulting firm and/or industry) and proven success in a matrixed organisation.
- Experience of proposition building and delivery.
- Optional: a passion for sustainability and the ability to communicate why it matters to clients and colleagues.
