Position summary


Kraft Heinz is seeking a Senior Manager, Global Sustainability - Scope 3, to be the subject matter expert for agriculture decarbonization across its global footprint. Your primary mission is to own, evolve, and manage the strategic oversight of the company's global approach to reducing Scope 3 emissions in agriculture, the largest lever in its climate strategy, working hand in hand with the climate and nature risk expert to marry decarbonization with supply chain resilience and risk mitigation within procurement.

Agricultural Scope 3 emissions are Kraft Heinz's biggest climate lever, so this role is central to the company's Net Zero and Science Based Targets. By setting the global decarbonization strategy, enabling regional execution, and aligning procurement and suppliers, you help cut the company's largest source of emissions while strengthening the resilience of its supply chains.


Key responsibilities


  • Strategy ownership: Define the strategic direction, frameworks, and interventions to achieve global SBTi targets across agricultural supply chains, including portfolio assessments, trade-off analyses, and risk evaluations.
  • Regional enablement: Act as the primary strategic partner to zones and regional teams, providing toolkits, methodologies, SOPs, and technical guidance to scale interventions such as regenerative agriculture, low-carbon fertilizer pilots, and methane reduction.
  • Governance: Lead program deployment and change management across regions, establish governance rituals, run steering committees, and implement agile ways of working.
  • Procurement collaboration: Partner with Global Procurement to align Supplier Guiding Principles, supplier selection, and commercial terms with climate targets, and build supplier capability programs.
  • Data and reporting: Collaborate with data, R&D, and controllership teams to ensure accurate, auditable primary data, and provide inputs for disclosures such as CSRD, CDP, and corporate sustainability reports.
  • External engagement: Represent the company in external sustainability initiatives and coalitions and monitor the evolving legislative, NGO, and competitive landscape.


Team and stakeholders


You will work across a matrixed, international organization, partnering with zones and regional teams, the climate and nature risk expert, Global Procurement, data, R&D, and controllership teams, senior leadership, and external coalitions and stakeholders, influencing without direct reporting authority.

Requirements:


  • Years of relevant corporate sustainability experience, with a proven track record dedicated to Scope 3 accounting and agricultural emissions reduction.
  • Deep knowledge of agricultural greenhouse gas accounting protocols (including GHG Protocol Land Sector and Removals Guidance and SBTi FLAG standards) and life cycle assessment methodologies.
  • Experience developing and managing regenerative agriculture projects and supply chain decarbonization levers in FMCG.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and influencing skills across a matrixed, international organization, including senior leadership and regional teams without direct authority.
  • Proven ability to translate complex scientific and regulatory climate concepts into clear business strategies and operational toolkits.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills, able to deliver board-ready strategies with a high level of autonomy.
