Position summary
Samsung Electronics America is seeking a Sustainability Senior Manager to accelerate the scale and impact of its ESG programs in the US, building on corporate strategy. You will collaborate with internal teams to manage compliance and reporting and strengthen sustainability governance and business integration in support of evolving customer expectations and corporate initiatives. A key focus is mobilizing the organization to sustainably advance SEA's business objectives across impact areas such as product energy efficiency, responsible materials, sustainable operations, product stewardship, and values engagement, while measuring and reporting on performance against goals.

By coordinating US climate disclosure compliance, strengthening governance, and integrating sustainability into sales, communications, and operations, you help SEA meet evolving regulatory and customer expectations and advance its sustainability goals.
Key responsibilities
- Compliance and reporting: Coordinate across SEA subsidiaries for compliance with California climate disclosure regulations and all other US ESG disclosure requirements, own a task force to ensure reporting is verified and assured (with Legal, Finance, and cross-divisional leads), and support emissions verification and assurance.
- Governance and engagement: Recommend a KPI dashboard and support the reporting cadence for SEA sustainability performance reviews, coordinate cross-functional initiatives, and support events, trainings, and programs on sustainability priorities.
- Communications and reputation: Support review of marketing and PR sustainability claims, corporate ESG reporting, and the US Environmental Toolkit; refresh award and recognition strategy; and audit online sustainability content for accuracy.
- Sales support: Support responses to sustainability RFPs and customer inquiries, refresh trainings for Sales and service teams, develop customer collateral, and benchmark customer sustainability priorities to identify partnership opportunities.
- Operations: Support fulfillment of the NA Green Power commitment and streamline GPP procurement, support ENERGY STAR performance at facilities, and develop a green procurement recognition program based on vendor benchmarking.
Team and stakeholders
You will collaborate with internal teams across SEA, including Legal, Finance, communications, sales, service, operations, and cross-divisional leads, and influence company leadership across a matrixed organization.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Senior-level, progressive experience developing and implementing ESG programs, with a strong focus on business integration.
- A high degree of independent judgment, strong business and financial acumen, and strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
- A track record of executing assignments accurately with minimal supervision.
- Experience working with and influencing company leadership on new policies and programs.
- Prior experience implementing an integrated ESG program, especially goal setting, performance metrics/KPI reporting, and internal management systems.
- A sophisticated, deep understanding of contemporary ESG issues and stakeholder perspectives, and the ability to anticipate trends affecting business strategy and reputation.
- Preferred: a creative, strategic, entrepreneurial self-starter who can drive alignment across a matrixed organization, with excellent written and oral communication and public speaking skills.
