Position summary
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is hiring a Senior Environmental Compliance Manager in London to oversee the development and execution of environmental reporting and regulations programs. Part of the Energy and Sustainability function, the role provides strategic and technical guidance on environmental and sustainability compliance, helping CBRE and its clients stay ahead of environmental regulations.

Anticipating forthcoming regulations and building robust compliance programs is what keeps clients ahead of their obligations and protects the performance of the properties CBRE manages.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the compliance team by conducting performance evaluations, coaching, and overseeing recruitment and hiring.
- Guide on regulations by helping the energy and sustainability team and clients stay on top of environmental regulations and identify forthcoming ones.
- Provide strategic guidance by drafting standard operating procedures and executive summaries for environmental and sustainability compliance.
- Track deadlines by setting and managing internal E&S regulation deadlines and mentoring the team.
- Engage clients by presenting executive summaries and procedure documents and holding monthly meetings to achieve account and client objectives.
- Improve processes by solving complex technical and operational problems and refining methods and standards within the discipline.
Team and stakeholders
The role leads CBRE's E&S compliance team, collaborates with the internal platform team across accounts, and works with various client stakeholders, presenting to account teams and clients.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred with 5 years of relevant experience; a combination of experience and education considered in lieu of a degree.
- Prior management experience preferred, including selection, training, development, coaching, and performance management.
- Ability to relay difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle sensitive issues.
- Leadership skills to motivate the team toward broad operational targets.
