Seismic is seeking a Senior Consultant (Sustainability Communications) to act as a strategic powerhouse within its Comms team. Rather than just executing tasks, you will own project delivery, drive the commercial success of the service line, and lead the professional growth of the consultants, with the exact role definition shaped around the right person's desire, capability, and experience.

Key responsibilities
- Delivery: Lead the end-to-end delivery of integrated sustainability communications for clients, from facilitating senior leadership messaging workshops to overseeing the production of Impact Reports and multi-channel creative content.
- Commercial growth: Drive commercial growth by independently winning new business and expanding client work, taking ownership of results.
- Team development: Support a high-performance comms team, upskill team members, and foster a culture of continuous learning.
- Service development: Lead service development and process improvement within the communications service line to keep work high quality and outcome-focused.
- Client guidance: Help clients navigate the complex landscape of sustainability communications, ensuring narratives are ambitious, evidence-based, and transparent.
- Thought leadership: Grow the brand recognition of Seismic's comms work through thought leadership and profile-building.
Team and stakeholders
The role leads project teams and consultants within Seismic's Comms team and works directly with clients ranging from SMEs to global corporations.
Key details
- Work arrangement: Ideally within commuting distance of the London (Waterloo) office, attending at least twice per week; flexible working hours, with part-time arrangements open to discussion.
- First 100 days: Paired with a dedicated guide and mentor, an onboarding programme across all sustainability services, and fortnightly Personal Growth sessions.

Requirements:
- Extensive experience in sustainability communications within an agency or high-growth corporate environment, with a track record of leading complex projects.
- Proven ability to manage and mentor teams, driving both professional growth and high-quality outcomes.
- Passion for impact and commercial drive to identify and develop solutions to client challenges.
- Master copywriting ability, distilling complex information into engaging content, and the ability to project-manage a design process.
- Experience helping organisations deliver communications across sustainability topics (e.g. B Corp, Net Zero, DEI) is essential; experience with ESG reporting frameworks (e.g. GRI) is advantageous.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, a strong relationship-builder, and energised by a young, fast-growing, purpose-driven business.
