Job Description
Position summary
Bloomberg's Global Procurement team is hiring a Responsible Procurement Lead to develop and deliver its Responsible Procurement agenda. Partnering with Corporate Sustainability and cross-functional teams, the role embeds environmental, social, and governance considerations throughout the supplier lifecycle, balancing ESG with cost, quality, service, risk, and commercial outcomes.
Why this role matters
A large share of a company's emissions and human-rights risk sits in its supply chain. Key responsibilities
- Own the strategy by evolving the Responsible Procurement strategy and roadmap, aligning with Corporate Sustainability, governance, and reporting expectations, and developing policies and category guidance.
- Drive supplier decarbonization by partnering on emissions measurement, supplier segmentation, and decarbonization transition plans, and embedding climate, renewable energy, and nature considerations into sourcing.
- Manage ESG risk by strengthening supplier due diligence, modern slavery and human rights risk assessment, screening, remediation, and audit-ready evidence with Legal and Vendor Risk Management.
- Lead supplier inclusion by creating opportunities for diverse-owned and underrepresented suppliers and supporting Bloomberg's Reconciliation Action Plan in Australia.
- Bring procurement discipline to RFI/RFQ/RFP design, supplier evaluation, negotiation, contracting, and performance management.
- Report and measure by establishing KPIs, dashboards, and controls supporting sustainability, impact, and modern slavery reporting.
Team and stakeholders
The role sits in Global Procurement (Workplace Operations and Supply Chain) and partners with Corporate Sustainability, Procurement, Legal, Vendor Risk Management, Engineering, and Workplace Sustainability teams, plus suppliers and senior stakeholders.

- Breadth across ESG topics (carbon, nature, supplier inclusion, human rights, reporting) and knowledge of Scope 3 / spend-based carbon methodologies.
- Understanding of ESG supplier risk, due diligence, and regulatory readiness (modern slavery, CSDDD, SBTi, remediation, audit-ready evidence).
