As an experienced consultant, you will follow projects through their phases, handling some elements yourself and drawing on experts and junior engineers in your team for others, acting as the central point of contact for both your project team and the client.
Why this role matters
Wind farm development hinges on rigorous environmental study and permitting. This role coordinates the feasibility, nature, and effects studies and the permit applications that allow wind projects to proceed, supporting the energy transition while safeguarding the surrounding environment.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate wind-energy environmental projects through their phases, as the central point of contact for the project team and client.
- Deliver development studies including feasibility studies and risk analysis, screening and surveying (with a topographer), and nature studies.
- Run effects studies covering noise, shadow flicker, dewatering, and similar impacts.
- Prepare permitting documents including the localisation note, environmental impact report (MER), and environmental permit application.
- Manage projects commercially by, depending on experience, being involved from the tender phase and taking responsibility for financial management and planning.
Team and stakeholders
You will sit within Arcadis’s Environmental Permitting Team, which investigates environmental questions and the effects of plans and projects for both public and private clients, working with experts, junior engineers, a topographer, and clients.
