Position summary


BT Group is seeking a Product Manager, Social Sustainability to shape and grow its social sustainability portfolio. As social sustainability becomes an increasingly important differentiator in customer procurement and bid evaluations across the public, private, and wholesale markets, this role identifies opportunities, develops new propositions, and launches scalable solutions that help customers achieve their sustainability and social impact objectives. Working across Product, Commercial, Sales, Marketing, and external partners, you will build BT's social sustainability capabilities and create repeatable solutions that strengthen its market position and support customer growth.

Key responsibilities


  • Product strategy and roadmap: Define and own the roadmap for BT's social sustainability product portfolio, and identify opportunities to enhance capabilities through new products, services, and partnerships.
  • Product development and innovation: Design, develop, and launch scalable social sustainability solutions that support customer and bid requirements, and build business cases and investment proposals for new products and initiatives.
  • Partnerships and stakeholder management: Collaborate with product, commercial, and delivery teams to ensure successful development and adoption of solutions, and build and manage relationships with key delivery partners to maximise customer value and social impact.
  • Enablement and market growth: Maintain the Social Value Solutions Playbook, support sales teams in articulating BT's capabilities, and work with Marketing to increase awareness of BT's social value and digital skills propositions.


Team and stakeholders


You will work across Product, Commercial, Sales, Marketing, and delivery teams, as well as external partner organisations, and build relationships with key delivery partners to maximise customer value and social impact.


Key details


  • Work arrangement: Hybrid, under BT's "3 together, 2 wherever" model (3 days a week at your contractual location, 2 flexible days).
  • Locations: Birmingham, Bristol, London, or Manchester.
  • Compensation: Competitive salary, plus a 10 percent on-target annual bonus.
  • Reference: Req ID 61196.

Requirements:


Essential:


  • Experience in sustainability, ESG, social value, or responsible business.
  • Product management or proposition development experience, taking products or services from concept to launch.
  • Experience developing business cases and investment proposals for new products or initiatives.


Desirable:


  • Experience building and managing strategic partnerships to deliver commercial or customer outcomes.
  • Experience identifying market opportunities and developing customer-focused solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management across Product, Commercial, Sales, and Delivery teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects or initiatives.
