Position summary

MSCI is seeking a Private Assets Product Manager within its Sustainability & Climate (S&C) Product team to help deliver the next generation of AI-enabled platform solutions for private markets. The role accelerates development of S&C solutions for institutional investors and managers, with tools supporting investment processes across physical risk, transition risk, nature risk, and emerging risks, spanning the full product lifecycle from discovery through launch and enhancement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead product ideation and execution of new S&C products in private markets, with AI grounded in solutioning.
• Drive S&C solutions in private markets specializing in data management, an analytical segment (physical, transition, nature/biodiversity, and emerging risks), or derived data products (taxonomies and ratings).
• Build business cases by conducting deep market due diligence on the competitive landscape, opportunity sizing, and market positioning.
• Design pricing and support go-to-market by creating pricing models and supporting sales campaign planning, working with Program Management, Marketing, and Coverage on GTM planning and client-facing documentation.
• Analyse product usage statistics and reporting to develop insights into client behaviours, needs, product opportunities, and risks.
• Prepare senior management reviews by producing reports and analysis for MSCI’s business reviews and supporting strategic client opportunities from a product perspective.
• Build AI expertise by developing deep knowledge of Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions.

Team and stakeholders

The role sits within MSCI’s Private Assets Product team focused on S&C, working closely with senior MSCI leadership and cross-functional teams including Program Management, Marketing, and Coverage.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in an S&C product management role, with domain expertise in financial services, private markets, artificial intelligence, and S&C.
• Deep understanding and experience in either physical risk, transition risk, or nature risk.
• Experience in business/financial analysis, data analysis, process mapping, and specification writing, and familiarity with the product management and development lifecycle.
• Knowledge, understanding, and experience of working with AI tools to prototype and solution.
• Detail-oriented and analytical approach to problem-solving with a strong execution mindset.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field (MBA, CFA, or CAIA preferred).
