Position summary

AFRY Management Consulting is seeking an experienced consultant to join its Waste & Recycling team at Manager or Principal level. The role focuses on project management and supporting sales, working with industrial and financial clients, collaborating across AFRY’s global platform, and playing a key role in building the Waste & Recycling business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex projects across the Waste & Recycling sector.
• Build client relationships by developing trusted relationships and identifying new opportunities.
• Support sales by shaping proposals, sales materials, and client pitches.
• Provide sector expertise in Waste & Recycling.
• Develop thought leadership, intellectual property, and client-relevant solutions.
• Build capability by contributing to capability building and knowledge development across the team.
• Strengthen networks by enhancing AFRY’s presence in industry networks and expert communities.
• Coach teams in structured problem solving and delivery excellence.

Team and stakeholders

The role sits within AFRY Management Consulting’s Waste & Recycling team, working with industrial and financial clients, collaborating with colleagues across AFRY’s global platform, and coaching delivery teams.

Key details

This is a permanent, hybrid role based in an AFRY office in Europe, such as London, Munich, Dusseldorf, Stockholm, or Helsinki, with other European AFRY office locations considered for the right candidate. The role is offered at Manager or Principal level depending on experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field, such as engineering, business, or economics.
• Strong advisory track record (project delivery, management, and sales) in areas such as strategy, market analysis, financial analysis, policy, and/or transaction services, particularly for Waste & Recycling sector clients.
• Strong knowledge of the Waste & Recycling sector, gained through consulting, industry, investment, or a combination.
• Fluency in English.
• Excellent report writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well with people from a range of cultures and to work independently.
• A proactive personality with drive and energy.
