Job Description
Position summary
At CCEP's Dongen plant, which produces millions of litres of soft drinks daily, the Manager Environment ensures that everything behind that production, from permits and energy to water use, emissions, and environmental legislation, is in order. You will monitor environmental performance, ensure compliance with laws and regulations, and drive improvements that are directly visible in the factory. It is a role with significant responsibility, high visibility, and direct influence on how CCEP produces.
Why this role matters
This role keeps a major Coca-Cola production site compliant and continually improving on its environmental impact. By managing permits, certifications, and audits and driving reductions in energy, water, and waste, you deliver visible results in a production environment that is constantly in motion and help CCEP lower its footprint at scale.
Key responsibilities
- Permits and reporting: Manage permits, environmental files, audits, and reporting.
- Certifications: Safeguard certifications such as ISO 14001 (and ISO 45001).
- Impact analysis: Analyse the environmental impact of processes and projects.
- Improvements: Initiate improvements in energy, water, and waste use, and reduce emissions, waste streams, and other environmental effects.
- Collaboration: Work with colleagues within Dongen and across other European sites, acting as the environmental point of contact across the production floor, management, authorities, and external partners.
Team and stakeholders
You will be the environmental point of contact within the plant, moving easily between the production floor, management, government authorities, and external partners, and collaborating with technical teams and colleagues at other European CCEP sites.
Key details
- Compensation and benefits: Attractive salary plus a 7.5 percent bonus tied to company and individual performance, a 13th month, 8 percent holiday pay, an excellent pension, a share plan, 25 holiday days with the option to buy up to 10 more annually (full-time basis), and a laptop, phone, and home-drinks allowance.
- Contact: Mike Gommans ([email protected]).
Requirements:
- HBO or WO (university of applied sciences or university) level of work and thinking.
- Experience with, or strong affinity for, environmental management, permits, and audits.
- Knowledge of environmental legislation, or the drive to develop it quickly.
- Affinity with an FMCG or production environment.
- Strong analytical skills, for example with energy and water data.
- The ability to switch effectively between different stakeholders.
- Clear, effective communication in both Dutch and English.
