- Client advisory: Advise clients on geothermal energy strategy, including site selection and resource favorability, technology choice, project economics, and permitting pathways.
- Workstream leadership: Lead workstreams with strong ownership, quality control, and prioritization, managing multiple case and proposal priorities.
- Technical translation: Structure complex subsurface and geothermal topics into crisp, client-ready narratives for both technical experts and business decision-makers.
- Onsite client service: Travel occasionally to serve clients onsite during staffing assignments, to understand requirements and design and develop solutions.
Team and stakeholders
As a Manager, BCG Vantage on the Client Focus path, you will work face to face with clients and alongside BCG Project Leaders, Associates, and Consultants. Between cases, you will collaborate with global topic leads and colleagues across BCG to bring expertise and capabilities to internal and external clients.

- Travel: Occasional travel to serve clients onsite during staffing assignments.
- Work authorization: BCG is an E-Verify employer.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of consulting experience in energy, climate, low-carbon solutions, geothermal, CCUS, or subsurface topics; strategy consulting experience preferred.
- In lieu of consulting experience, 4+ years of relevant industry experience is required, with 6 to 10+ years preferred in geothermal, CO2 storage, or subsurface project development.
- Bachelor's degree required (advanced degree preferred) in a related field such as reservoir engineering, petroleum engineering, chemical engineering, geoscience, or geology.
- Proven track record of working on geothermal and/or CO2 storage projects; experience advising on or within an energy transition context is a strong plus.
- Deep knowledge of geothermal energy systems for both power generation and direct-use applications.
- Awareness of the regulatory, permitting, and policy landscape for geothermal across key markets, and understanding of geothermal project economics.
