Position summary

Accenture is seeking a Management Consultant in its Industry Consulting, Energy team to deliver high-impact consulting engagements across the energy sector. You will help energy clients optimise upstream and downstream assets, integrate AI into operations, and drive sustainability cost-effectively, addressing their most pressing business and technology challenges and creating long-term value across the energy value chain.

Key responsibilities

• Consulting delivery: Deliver high-impact engagements across value case development, operating model design and transformation, cost and productivity optimisation, net-zero transition strategies, data and AI-driven insights, digital core transformation, and risk and regulatory compliance.
• Problem-solving: Solve complex business, technology, and transformation challenges through structured analysis and strategic thinking, often with minimal supervision.
• Client relationships: Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, understanding their priorities and adapting to their working styles.
• Business development: Support business development, contribute to commercial, contract, and cost management, and take ownership of developing new offerings within the Energy Practice.
• Thought leadership and teams: Lead the creation of thought leadership and market insights, and develop and lead high-performing multidisciplinary teams, mentoring colleagues and contributing to talent development.

Team and stakeholders

You will work within Accenture's UK Energy Practice, alongside leaders, clients, and colleagues across the firm, building relationships with senior decision-makers across the energy sector.

Requirements:

• An excellent understanding of and passion for energy industry trends and business models, and a good understanding of the energy value chain (upstream, downstream, integrated gas).
• Proven experience in the energy industry, through direct industry roles or consulting.
• A strong background in implementing asset integrity management programs to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Excellent consulting and problem-solving skills, familiarity with recognized consulting frameworks, and experience in research, quantitative analysis, structured problem-solving, and executive communication.
• A proven track record of building lasting relationships with decision-makers, and an appreciation of how technology can solve clients' business problems.
• Familiarity with core industry technology platforms, intellectual capacity for innovative thinking, comfort with ambiguity, and strong presentation, project management, and communication skills.
